Lasy nadleśnictwa

Dominującym typem siedliskowym lasu jest bór mieszany świeży; zajmuje on łącznie 42,7% powierzchni leśnej nadleśnictwa, w tym w obrębie Serwy II aż 64,9%. Drugim najbardziej rozpowszechnionym typem siedliskowym jest bór świeży – zajmuje ogółem 18,3%. Stosunkowo często występują też siedliska boru mieszanego wilgotnego – w skali nadleśnictwa 10,4%, w tym w obrębie Płaska aż 17,7%. Wymienione typy należą do wysokoprodukcyjnych siedlisk z drzewostanami sosnowymi i świerkowo-sosnowymi, determinują one przyrodniczy i gospodarczy charakter Nadleśnictwa Płaska.
